Hi there, I’m Alvenus Hillis, CEO and founder of Mr. Behave and Associates! This mission is deeply personal to me. It all started with my brother, Nolan, who was born with an intellectual disability. Seeing him struggle to get the support he needed from schools and service providers lit a fire in me to become his advocate and voice.

I’ve faced my own challenges—shoutout to my dyslexia!—but those experiences fueled my passion for working with kids with disabilities. I started this journey at 16 and eventually became a preschool and kindergarten teacher in inclusive classrooms. I earned my BA in Education with a focus on Curriculum Design from Ashford University (now Arizona State University). Over time, I was inspired by colleagues in various agencies to explore Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), which led me to pursue a Master's in Behavioral Psychology at Pepperdine University, graduating in 2021. Currently, I’m working on a life coaching certificate to broaden my ability to support clients from all walks of life.

At Mr. Behave and Associates, we’re all about collaboration and individuality. Our team partners with clients to address challenging behaviors and build the skills that promote independence. I’m passionate about leading this incredible team and ensuring we provide top-quality support to everyone we serve.
